Simple Flex drag and drop

Filed under: dev, flex — michaelangela @ 1:37 am

I don’t know the full capabilities of this but off the bat one interesting bit is the automatic ordering of objects. This library detects what is being touched and hit by the drop and orders accordingly. I am not sure how much code that would take to set up. So even within a container that has items you can easily rearrange. Would that work with items that are provided as a data provider though? Donno.

If you are looking for drag n’ drop functionality for your Flex RIA much like iGoogle then dNdLib is for you.

dNdLib is very easy to use. Place any UIComponent child within your DnDContainers. In order to execute a drag n’ drop, you have the dragable child do the following:

Make sure your DnDContainers have, at the very least, a background color w. alpha set to 0 in order to properly work.
